I've noticed lately that a lot, and I mean.. a lot, of players do not rep FOTM or even DOTM while they are doing Fractals and Dungeons.

This is troublesome and I believe this should be read by everybody, I'm not upset about it and I don't want to point fingers and who I have noticed because it honestly comes down to a large portion of the guild. The reason we ask for you to rep for us is because you use the service we provide, a vast number of players who are willing to do fractals - even jump in fractals half-way through to help you and your friends finish - and in return by representing FOTM and DOTM we get Guild Influence. This shows professionalism and respect for the guild, take a look at TTS for example; If you were to not rep them during a Tequatl event.. you'd be removed from the guild, no questions asked.

We should all be proud of being in an elite set of guilds that include members from all over North America that not only know what they are doing in Fractals and Dungeons but excel at it.

I like this build Stav! and I've been using it for pve, pvp and wvw but I have made a few changes and I'd like to share and perhaps discuss them. ps; pvp, great success - I can 1v2 easily, even against OP classes like ele's and rangers. With a Greatsword and Hammer.

I had decided 30 in valor wasn't really beneficial, I mean; I rarely use my shield so the minor trait at 25 giving might on blocking doesn't exactly help, and I have tested with Aegis and I don't see any might stacks. Then the major trait, 11, that's only like 80 health per boon.. per 30-60 seconds. if you aren't using "Save Yourself", which gives 580+ health upon casting, it really doesn't help nor help allies. Plus as much as I like the shield, I really haven't needed it or used it much unless I need ranged and equip it with my Scepter and even then I'd switch to my Greatsword if the enemy was close enough to fight.

Instead I suggest 10 points in Zeal. Giving the trait line; 10/20/20/20/0. Which gives you Symbol of Wraith from the greatsword skill tree, awesome because it allows combo finishers, for your minor trait.. and then for your major Fiery Wraith(II) which increases damage by 10% to burning targets. Honestly this is like.. a free, constant, +10% damage. Pretty much every group is going to have at least one, or even two characters that are applying burning so you'll always have that +10% damage from every weapon no matter what you're using.. no extra trait needed/focus on specific weapons to deal that extra damage. Plus when activating Virtue of Justice it can cause your whole team to apply burning.

I know putting 10 points in zeal leads you down the Consecration skill line in case you don't have that burning damage from your team, but sometimes Purging Flames can be very handy. Especially for condition based fractals/dungeons. Or pvp. Another option is putting 5 points in Zeal and 5 points in Virtues for that minor trait which gives 5.50+ seconds of boons from your Virtues; Might x3, Regen -900+ health and Protection. But that's a 10% damage loss and really don't think it's worth it.

As well I changed around a few major stats, from the ones you've listed;

Zeal: 10 - II
Radiance: 20 - II, III
Valor: 20 - V, VI
Honor: 20 - II, VIII
Virtues: 0

The reason I went with 3 on radiance is because not many mobs, or really any, have boons in Fractals. This is more of a PVP trait. 3 will give you that burning/damage increase when you get to 25% health, on three targets, for 3k damage. Worth. Plus it allows you to tag mobs, in case you're downed and need a rally.

I also use Renewed Focus for my elite, instead, because it gives you a free 2 seconds invulnerability which is exceptional when you run out of endurance/in an AOE you shouldn't be or you're in a fractal that reduces your damage based on endurance plus it renews your virtues. I personally love to spam my virtues, especially when I notice my team is taking on unneeded damage I can pop an Aegis or a quick/no delay/skill canceling heal to help someone who is downed. Plus with this trait build your Virtue of Justice can be spammed as it is refreshed via Radiance minor trait 15 every time a mob is killed... thus ensuring your +10% damage increase.

I'm also sticking with the trend and going 100% celestial. 250 viscous claws later I have my Yakkington book backpiece and I went with the celestial Syzygy amulet.

Has anyone tried the Momentum Sigil? I have been making them because it's 100% profit to sell on the TP but I haven't dared try. I have been getting out of Stacking Sigils but this extra toughness would be great. I believe Superior Sigil of Battle is required on any of your 2nd hand weapons, which gives you 3 might stacks when switching weapons in combat. And Superior Sigil of Strength on your Greatsword which gives you 1 stack of might on crits (30% chance), and with a 1 second cool down. So with these traits you could potentially get 2 stacks of might on crit. Plus swapping weapons, plus empower.. etc.

Guild Wars 2 Experience / Wintersday Patch Notes
« on: December 08, 2013, 09:16:35 pm »
So I was looking up on all of the fancy stuff aNet has decided to launch this coming Tuesday and it's pretty astounding what they've decided to release.

On top of Ascended Armors, and a level 500 Cap on Equipment Crafting (Armor, Talor and Leather smiths) they are introducing a "Glory Vendor" for PvP. I'm not much of a fan of PvP, but I kept reading, and it turns out they are going to be removing Glory in the near future so it's time to use your boosters now.. and if you're like me and would rather just destroy them, wait! They are selling Tombs of Knowledge from that Vendor, a free level on any character for 1500 glory and 20 silver. Account bound. This means it will cost you 120k glory and 16 gold to get a character from 1-80 strictly via that item. By golly, they removed the amount of exp you gained from crafting because people were just getting 1-80 in 3 hours and 60 gold and then they go an throw this in? Anyways... They are adding gold to pvp fights, giving you a cap of +15 gold per day from open rooms and +5 gold per day from private rooms; almost think it would be worth getting a pvp room and farming it with a few guild members just for the gold/glory.

Anyone interested in farming the daily gold cap from pvp with me?

They've done some crazy changes to Fractals, it's going to feel completely different to play.. I'm sure. Especially having 4 fractal levels per difficulty level.

One thing I question about the Agony Infusions is how high do they go up? I don't know if 80PR is out of the question, Stalvros, unless they've completely capped it.

If 1+1 make a +2, and 2+2 make a +3.. 3+3=4, 4+4=5.. 5+5=? if they are removing the chance to get +10 AR on a single item, I cannot see why they would have 50 Fractal levels if the highest you can get it is +40 AR without ascended armors and their infusion slots.

I think I may stock up on a few +5AR infusions and see what happens for tomorrows update.

Hi everyone, I'm Melborne.

I'm from the great white north. I started with GW1 a coons age ago, and my favorite character was the Warrior Monk.. I mainly did map runs for the rest of my existence there until GW2 came out.

I am turning 28 this year, I'm a Chef and I have been getting my poop in a group to go back to school once again so that I can get my Bachelors of Science in Forestry. I don't know why they don't just call it; Lumberjack.

I'm online often, I have my regular 9-5 and I appear online right before or after reset. I'm on Raidcall all the time, so if you need me.. and I'm not in-game, you'll probably find me there.

I don't take breaks from fractals, I'm game :)

Main Weapons:
Greatsword - Power, Precision, Critical Damage + Infusion Slot(s) x2 for Agony Resistance +10%
Longbow - Celestial or Clerics + Infusion Slot(s) x2 for Agony Resistance +10%
Underwater - Spear in slot 1, Harpoon in 2. I suggest Zerker or Celestial

We've kept our main handed weapon a zerker style because of the much needed damage. I suggest keeping a Bloodlust sigil in it, as gaining and keeping stacks will be easy for you unless you mess up somewhere and get downed. As for our ranged weapon, the Celestial is a great choice as it gives bonuses to all stats making you more rounded in everything you do and are faced against.
