Guild Mission / Re: Guild Mission Restructure
« on: November 30, 2014, 09:16:18 am »
So, here are the times I think I could make it, assuming I don't have company staying with me for the holidays:

Saturday morning: 8am - 11am PST
Saturday afternoon: 2pm - 5pm PST
Sunday morning/day: 7am - 3pm PST

I could also make it Monday evening, but I'm sure that would be inconvenient for most people.

If I must I can come up with more times to play and lose a couple of hours of family time but I would not be able to join on RC if I do so.

There were updates after I recorded this video so make sure to enable your annotations as I have made lots of comments in certain spots.  I apologize that it is already out of date as I am posting it; I will likely update it when I have more time but for now it still covers the basic important parts of the level.  Please let me know if there is anything you feel I need to add or anything else that has changed.  Hope this helps!

The mesmer gets close enough to pull the Mossman using skill 1 on the focus; place it on the ground then step back to the water and pull him. You should then be able to all attack him from under water.  Make sure to be in place before attacking.  Keep in mind you can only pull once as he will be immune after.

You can also kill him without pulling with only long range classes attacking: namely Engineer and Ranger but it is slower.

Here is the Charr fractal (as I call it repeatedly); I apologize for my exaggerating and my repetitive phrases which was particularly bad in this one.  I hope this helps everyone have smoother runs, good luck and have fun!

Next video in the series; you may want to enable annotations as I have added a bit of useful information/corrections to what was said in the video.  Hope this helps and good luck!

Proactive, I like it!

Here is my tutorial for the swampland fractal; this includes not only the general information needed to complete this run smoothly but also some current tricks to get your group by if you just can't manage to finish off either of the bosses.  If you come across any tips not included or if you think I am missing anything important please let me know and I will update as is necessary.  Hope this helps everyone have smoother runs!

Hello everyone!

Here is the first video I have made in my tutorial series; this just gives a brief overview for anyone that has questions or is new to fractals of the mists. I will make updates to this and the other videos as needed as things change or if things are not explained in enough detail so make sure to ask questions if things are not addressed.

Fractals Necromancer Builds / [Class] FOTM builds for Necromancer
« on: September 21, 2013, 06:04:50 pm »
=========
Introduction
=========
I know this build is likely far from perfect, nor will it fit everyone's play style but it is what I am currently running.  If you have any thoughts on how it can be improved feel free to let me know and I may give it a try.  Some of my items are simply the way they are because i'm too cheap/lazy to fix them and they seem to work fine (namely my trinkets though I shared them anyway) :)

=========
Armor Set:
=========
Primary set is Power/Precision/Crit% with 5xSuperior Mesmer runes and 1 Superior rune of Vampirism; If I'm taking too much damage with a certain group or on a certain level I'll switch out to my Power/Toughness/Vit set with Superior Runes of the Fighter.

=========
Trinket Set:
=========
backpiece has precision/toughness/cond +10 AR; my accessories and amulet are precision/toughness/vit/cond +5 AR each; rings are Seal of the Khan-Ur and Lunaria, Circle of the Moon both infused with +10 AR each

=========
Weapons:
=========
I run a staff with power/prec/crit and an axe/focus both with power/vit/cond (which I should probably change); I currently have a Superior Sigil of Energy on the Staff and Focus for that extra dodge when needed though honestly I put it on there to fight Liadri and a Superior Sigil of Peril on the axe.

=========
Traits:
=========
I have been known to shift my traits around but I am currently running as follows: 30 Spite VI/VIII/XII; 20 Death V/VII; 20 Blood V/VIII - potentially it might be better to run blood with the 30 and  add Blood XII;  sometimes I will avoid Death trait altogether to avoid the random minion spawn as he annoys me at times but I like the staff so I run it anyway most the time.  I've been known to run some points in curses and take the trait for wells use ground targeting and terror.

=========
Skills:
=========
I generally run Well of Blood/Well of Suffering/Well of Corruption/Well of Darkness/Lich Form though 8 and 9 get switch often with other skills such as Spectral Walk for Well of Corruption during Colossus for running hammer in to hit seals and Signet of Spite or Well of Power in place of blind for dredge and plague elite underwater and final fight on shaman (for blind). In underwater fractal I also tend to run Signet of Spite, Blood is Power and Epidemic (though once again this would probably be better if I had different traits/runes/etc.)  And don't forget to take advantage of Death Shroud :)

=============
Playing this build:
=============
So I run this build for mostly everything with only a few changes here and there as I feel it is needed.  As I said earlier I know there is probably room for improvement and it won't work for everyone; also I know that my mixes of traits/runes/etc are not optimal.  If you have any questions on how I use certain skills or why let me know and I will elaborate but as I've never posted a build before I've already babbled on far more than I should have!

Members Introduction Page / Hello from Miranda

Hello everyone,

My name is Miranda middle name Suzanne I know I was creative when naming my character; I must say it was mostly because of GW1 that I stuck with it.  All of my other characters are much more fittingly named.  Though you may not see me playing on them much as I'm a creature of habit.

I am almost 30; though before I know it I'm sure I'll start saying I'm 29..forever...that's how it works right?  I'm an accountant and working towards getting my CPA which is much more difficult because I focus more time on GW2 than on studying.

I don't get to play quite as much as I used to these days but generally I play Monday and Thursday evenings and quite a bit on the weekends assuming nothing is going on outside these walls.  I also tend to get distracted by other things outside the game like anime so I may randomly just not show up sometimes when you would usually see me.

Anyway, I hope to get to know you guys better.  It's been awhile since I had a guild where I really felt like I knew the members and I miss that.  On that note; do not expect me to recognize most of your voices anytime in the near future...I am terrible at that...but I will see you all in game! :D
