Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) - Part 1
=================================================================================================================================================================================
Q: How do I invite members in the guild to do specific level of FOTM runs?
A: You can either use guild chat or PM those members of 'specific' fractal ranks. (keeping in mind that those who are not repping can't see the guild chat). So if say that I wanted to do PR30+, I would PM those who has the title of 'Fractal Captain'. That being said, the msg in the PM should be simple and short, such as 'LF3m FOTM 39' (Do not PM/guild chat things without the specific FOTM lvl like 'High lvl FOTM anyone?', 'Wanna FOTM anyone?')
Q: I am new to FOTM, can I join the guild?
A: Of course you can

. We also provide tutorials for FOTM newbies. If you wish to check our guide, we are currently posting video tutorials that can be found in the following web addy;
http://fractalsofthemind.createaforum.com/index.php under the section of Chapter 2
Q: Do you consider yourself as a PRO runner in FOTM?
A: I don't know what your definition of PRO would be but if it's the same as mine, then I do not consider myself as a PRO runner! One thing I've learn during my quest in leveling all my toons to PR48 is that team-work is much more valuable as compared to individual contribution. Whatever achievement I have gained from FOTM, I owe it all to my FOTM members and the experienced pugs I joined from gw2lfg.
Q: Hi, I'm lvl 1PR FOTM. Can you tank me to PR49 so I can be PR49 after that 1 run?
A: FOTM does not work that way. You'll only get your PR increased by 1 if you run same or higher FOTM level as that of your Personal Rewards.
Q: I have friends that would be interested in joining the guild. What should I do?
A: You can either refer them to me or the 'Fractal Herald' members of the guild. If I am online, they can PM me directly, otherwise they can just send me an in-game mail and I'll respond to them once I get online

.
Q: You mentioned that you have plenty of ascended rings in your bank. Can you spare me some?
A: All ascended rings/weapons acquired in FOTM are 'account bound' thus you can't sell them in Black Lion's Trade Market, much less giving them to anyone.
Q: Are there any specific requirement to join guild FOTM?
A: Only 2! 1st is that you have to LOVE FOTM! 2nd is that you have to rep the guild whenever you do FOTM runs! We want to be known as the best guild to run with when it comes to FOTM and we take pride in that fact!
Q: I just started a FOTM group with your guild but we had to pug the other one. However, another FOTM member has just become available. Should we kick that pug and invite our FOTM member instead?
A: Please don't do that! Although it may be more beneficial to level up our own member, we must also remember that everyone's here to enjoy the game thus we can't be the one to take that away! Most importantly, we must also respect other's rights as they respect ours. Just finish your run and invite that member in the next run.
Q: How many runs does it take for me to get an ascended infused FOTM back-piece?
A: It depends on the level of FOTM you're doing as different level yields different amount of fractal relics. It also depends on how many characters you have on those PR levels as daily rewards effects per 10 levels for one character. For example, assuming that you've reached PR48, you'll get the FOTM daily chest when you do PR48, PR38, PR28, PR18 and PR8. For more information on the rewards, please visit
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Fractal_RelicQ: You're trying to build a family/friend community and part of that is not to swear? But there are some occasion where we ran into trouble and we just wanna leash out our vulgarities.
A: Fair enough! Those are terms of expressions! I can't say NO whenever you want to unleash your anger, but I do ask that you 'tone it down'. For instance, instead of saying F x x K, say 'Fudge'. Instead of saying S x x T, say 'Crud'. Instead of saying D x x N, say 'Oh man'. It's not only in GW2 but it'll sound more polite in real life as well

.
Q: Must you be of specific class in order to join guild FOTM?
A: We do not discriminate classes in our FOTM guild. As long as you know how to play/handle your class well, we'll definitely be more then happy to have you as part of us

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) - Part 2
=================================================================================================================================================================================
Q: How important do you consider interactions via voice chat to be in the guild?
A: Very important! I mentioned once that the key to a fast and successful run in FOTM dungeons is team-work. By hearing each other's voice, less misunderstandings will occur, we'll get to understand each other better and most importantly, understand each other's strength and weaknesses! And if you don't 'click' with one member, move on until you 'click' with another..... until you find your PERFECT team! One where you can run 48 with daily! There are about 150+ members, you just need to 'click' with 4 of them! In the end, it's the bonds of you and your team mate that makes you a strong competitor for any FOTM stages.
Q: I'm new, qualified and ready for the tutorial session! However, I don't have a mic. I can hear the instructions but I won't be able to talk to you. Is that ok?
A: Well, I guess it's alright. It's just that it'll be more convenient if you have a mic? Like if you want to ask why we should do it this way and not that way; unless you prefer to type all your questions out >_<. Like personally I've hosted about 8-9 tutorial sessions and they have a lot of questions and it just wastes more time if you have to type all your inquires out. Having a mic just saves more time.
Q: Does your guild run a lot of FOTM 48s?
A: Well at the moment we have about 30+ members on Fractal Master level. Assuming that they only had 1 of their toon on PR48, that means that you can expect at least about 6-7 FOTM 48 runs daily. Myself I had 4 characters on PR40+, so you can expect about 4 FOTM 48s daily from me

. Not to mention, we also have about 20-30 Fractal Captains that's soon going to reach Fractal Master rank soon

, so you can expect a lot of FOTM 48s run from our guild

.
Q: I would like to join Guild FOTM but there's a problem! I'm Brazilian and some people don't like to play with Brazilian.
A: We don't discriminate races here! As long as you can speak english (as most of us do communicate with english language) and are good in FOTM, we care not if you're from the planet Pluto!
Q: I from China! Ok if join? [The rest are all in chinese words]
A: Uhhh, most of our members speak english. So yeah, it will be hard if you can't communicate in english as FOTM requires a high level co-ordination, co-operation and high level of understanding between team members.
Q: Do you have scheduled runs?
A: Not at the moment. We used to but due to the fact that everyone of us are living in different part of the world, it's kinda difficult to schedule a run. Once we reach about 300 members however, I will setup a system where we can do scheduled runs in our guild forum (Only applicable for 48 runs!). You must also keep in mind with regards to the compatibility classes for FOTM runs. Not everyone are compatible with each other, so you have to find a compatible group and just run with them.
Q: Are all the players good in FOTM? Can we expect a 45mins run or a 1hr 30mins run if we get collosus/dredge?
A: Truth be told, I started this guild only because it's more convenient playing with people you know and that it's easier to use the guild's system rather then lfg. That being said, we do not have an admission system as of yet and because of that, you MIGHT end up with a bad player in guild FOTM! As for the fractal masters, i've run with about 60% of them and I can say that they're very capable of handling themselves

.
Q: Can we run with other guilds that's not from FOTM?
A: Of course you can! It's not like as if we create this guild to restrict you from enjoying other activities, let alone to disconnect you from your friends from other guilds if you have any >_<.
Q: Why do you ask people to see this page first before sending a guild invite?
A: Because I want you guys to get to know the guild and it's members better before I shoot at invite. I don't want to recruit just about anyone who doesn't know anything about us and ended up complaining about how difficult it is to get a group, how nooby some members are and ended up leaving the guild with a bad taste and experience!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) - Part 3
=================================================================================================================================================================================
Q: What guarantees that those people who just joined were telling the truth when they say that their PR is 49? For all you know, they're just bluffing it so that they can acquire the rank of Fractal Master and expecting others to lift them up!
A: There are several ways to check whether or not a member has truly reached the PR they mention they're at. If they truly are at PR49, party up with them and see if they can really host FOTM49. Also if they claim that they have 45AR but don't, agony will kill them faster in FOTM48 runs anyways. Then again, I don't believe anyone would be foolish enough to tarnish their reputation like that? Because once they're been found trolling, no one would believe them anymore for the rest of their gw2 career. This also applies in real life and I don't think anyone is stupid enough not to realize that.
Q: What's the longest FOTM run you've ever experienced while running with your guild-mates and was it as bad experience?
A: The longest I experienced was a 4hrs run on a FOTM48! We're a party of 1 necromancer, 1 ranger, 1 guardian (me) and 2 elementalist. We got swamp, dredge [bomb] and shaman. The worst part was that we keep getting wiped in dredge and shaman and it took a very long time for us to get co-ordinated! 1 of us got dc-ed as well due to server update and they can't log back in during shaman fight (and he happens to be the dungeon leader). There were lots of 'sighing' but there weren't any complaints. If I must say, it isn't really a bad experience because from that run, not only do we learn how to 4 the shaman boss, but we also get to know each other better and feel comfortable with each other's temper. Relationships are at their best when they still survive after being boiled by water (Or in this case, by volcanic magma since we got shaman).
Q: Can I expect a lot of rage quitters in guild FOTM?
A: There's hardly any rage quitters in guild FOTM, at least not the ones I run with. At most, some would have to leave due to 'duty-calls' but other then that, I don't think you can expect much 'quitters' in the guild-runs, let alone 'rage-quitters'.
Q: There are other FOTM guilds out there, what makes you think yours is the best?
A: I don't. I admit, there are FOTM guilds out there that may provide you with faster runs that we can and perhaps less chit-chat and could give you more tips then we could, but that doesn't mean that we're noobs! Like it was stated in the 1st post, if you're expecting us to be a group of elitist scorning everyone who's bad at FOTM, we're NOT those type of people and yes, because of that we do tend to recruit people who are not an expert in FOTM as well! But I do believe that if you give anyone a chance to be good at it, I believe they will..... specially after running FOTM for like 50-100 times repeating the same stages again and again.
Q: Hi, I would like to join the guild. My PR is 46 but I haven't played in like 6 months due to studies, work, etc.
A: Hey there! No worries! What matters is you love FOTM, you wanna farm FOTM and enjoy playing with us

.
Q: Can you name me some of the good/bad FOTM players in the guild?
A: Unfortunately, your definition of good and bad may differ from mine. My experience says that whenever you find someone good to run with, try to add them as friends and keep in touch with them so that you can run with them again. At the same time with bad players, add them and just keep in mind that they have much room to improve their FOTM skills (Don't just block them -_-)
Q: Do you have to be in Borlis Pass to join the guild?
A: As long as you're in the US server, you can join us as Fractals dungeon allows cross-server hosting (For now anyways). However, in the future when we have more members and more influence, we will invest in guild missions and for you to access that, you might have to guest in Borlis Pass.
Q: I am part of another guild that I occasionally run fractals with and if I were running fractals with them, I would prefer to represent them, as would make sense and better indicate the situation. Would you be ok with this?
A: That's fine

.
Q: How active are your members?
A: On average, we have about 1/3 online always (on a 24hrs daily basis) and ready for Fractals. So I can say that we're pretty active.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) - Part 4
=================================================================================================================================================================================
Q: Do you do FOTM past PR50?
A: Yes we do, however please note that at the moment, there's no way to survive maw on PR50 (At the point of this Q&A at least which falls on 15th September 2013). The only way to get your PR above 50 is to get lifted by players who has PR 50+ by doing just the odd stages. If you need help to open 50+ odd levels from our guild, please consult the Fractal Ninja, Matrix and Maker ranks.
Q: Some of the member that I run with are so noob! They were like running crappy builds and in crappy class like ranger! So I just rage quit!
A: Please don't do that in the future. We understand the fact that everyone wants to clear fractals using the least amount of time as fast as possible, however this does not mean that there's only ONE WAY to do it and that we should discard everyone who doesn't follow that ONE METHOD! This guild doesn't work like that. Above all else, we value friendship, patience, diligence. When you join us, you have to always keep that in mind!
Q: Do you have any players recommendations for specific level runs?
A: We do have FOTM Player feedback in our guild forum. So basically what happens is that if a player in the guild happens to like a specific person in the guild FOTM, that person would write a +ve feedback thus recommending him/her to the rest of the guild.
Q: If my PR is 10 and I do FOTM 48, will I get the FOTM 48 reward?
A: No you won't! FOTM rewards are based on PR level. So if your PR is 10, doesn't matter if you do FOTM 28, 38 or 48 because you will still get the FOTM 10 reward.
Q: Any other FOTM preparations that you can help with aside from tutorials?
A: You can register in our guild forum website. We have multiple builds posted, tricks, shortcuts, videos and more. Hopefully that alone should be enough to keep you more then prepared for any level of FOTM runs.
Q: You mentioned that guild mission will be ready someday? Can my non-FOTM friend join just to attend the guild mission?
A: I'm sorry but they may not. Ultimately, our goal is FOTM! Guild mission is just a bonus but we only recruit players that are interested in doing Fractals Of The Mist. I understand that many guild wishes to recruit members 'specially' just for guild bounty, but we do not have such rank here in the guild. That being said, the main requirement to join the guild still remains the same as above.
Q: Your post was ALOT to read. What noip do U use? what's guilds main server? Whats main time zone for members?
A: You're asking me questions that has already been answered in our introductory page -_-. Please read the entire thing instead of wasting both our time asking questions that has already been answered. It's not that I want to be rude but I did not went through the trouble to create such lengthy and detailed post just to have you coming back to me asking me the same thing over again -_-.
Q: Do you run guild missions to earn those commendations?
A: Yes we do! Tune in to our guild forum for schedules as well as meeting locations.
*To be continued*
